BioVision Technologies offers the following range of Prior Scientific LED illumination products for brightfield and fluorescence microscopy applications:
The Lumen 100-LED illuminator provides advanced, high quality illumination for a wide range of fluorescence microscopy applications. A wide range of adaptors are available to connect the L100-LED to most upright and inverted microscopes. A broad array of LEDs covering wavelengths throughout the visible spectrum are available and are suitable for the majority of fluorophores used in fluorescence applications. A combiner is also available if two LEDs need to be used simultaneously. Excitation filters can be added to LEDs to further optimize the bandwidth for your specific application.
The Lumen 300-LED is specifically designed to offer broad‐spectrum LED illumination for fluorescence applications. Fitting directly to most microscopes, the system is simple to install and use. Controlled by a manual keypad controller, the Lumen 300‐LED offers instant on/off operation via TTL, manual 0–100% intensity control in 1% increments and on/off control for each LED. An optional liquid light guide is available to keep the illumination source remote from the microscope. Providing 25,000+ hours of bulb life, the Lumen 300‐LED is an environmentally friendly illumination system that requires no special disposal regulations.
Users of triple multiband filter sets should be aware that DAPI is typically excited at longer violet wavelength (400 nm) than the common UV band (365 nm). To match these triple multiband filter sets, the Lumen 300‐LED in multiband ("MB") format should be specified.
The Lumen 1600‐LED offers individual control for 16 selectable wavelengths. With its unique 16 selectable LED wavelengths, the Lumen 1600‐LED is compatible with all simple and multiband filter sets. For the user who wants ease of use, the Lumen 1600‐LED has a “white light” mode with simple on/off and intensity buttons. Fitting directly to most microscopes the system enables for rapid switching between LED wavelengths to allow for capture of high speed events. The Lumen 1600‐LED is controlled via a manual keypad controller, TTL, and USB as well as analog input for dynamic intensity control. Excitation filters can be fitted in the optical path for controlled switching with no moving parts. Providing 25,000+ hours of bulb life, the Lumen 1600‐LED is an environmentally friendly illumination system that requires no special disposal regulations.
The LDB100F with 550 nanometer filter in the light path eliminates any background fluorescence. The LDB100F Brightfield LED illuminator provides all the advantages of LED illumination in a flexible package that can be fitted to most modern upright and inverted microscope systems.
The LDBUSBTTL adapter is a USB to TTL output converter that allows users to control simple devices such as TTL‐controlled shutters and transmitted LED light sources.
